Try the app's own help first

Inside Kinferry, the gear icon opens Settings and Help & FAQ — around ninety questions covering every part of the app, searchable by a word. It is written to be read, not to deflect, and it is usually faster than waiting for a reply.

What to include when something is wrong

• What you did, and what happened instead.
• Which screen you were on, and roughly when.
• A screenshot if there is anything to see — a red box, a wrong time, a missing event.
• The version, from the bottom of the Settings screen.

That is usually enough to find it. Please do not send passwords; nobody here will ever ask you for one.

Common things

The confirmation email has not arrived

Check the spam folder first, then use Send it again on the sign-up screen. If it still does not come, write to us with the address you used.

I have forgotten my password

Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. The link lands back in the app and lets you choose a new one. Changing a password from inside the app asks for the current one first — on purpose, so an unlocked phone in the wrong hands cannot lock you out.

A school event is wrong or has disappeared

Kinferry shows what the school's calendar publishes. When an event is withdrawn from the feed, the app flags it and asks whether to remove it rather than deleting it behind your back.

I want my data deleted

Settings › Account › Close account does it, and the privacy policy explains exactly what goes with it. Ask us first if you want a copy.

Reporting something serious

If you believe somebody has access to your family's calendar who should not, write to hello@kinferry.com with "security" in the subject.
