Kinferry

Terms of use

Effective 26 October 2026

Plain terms for a small app. Using Kinferry means agreeing to them. They sit alongside Apple's standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store.

What Kinferry is

Kinferry is an app for organising a family's week, including an estimate of how long each event takes door to door. It is provided by Maroxa Partners L.L.C-FZ, licence number 2655595.01, Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, U.A.E.

Kinferry includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of them is subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service (maps.google.com/help/terms_maps) and the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Your account

You need an account, and you must give a real email address so you can be reached about it. You can create the account with a password or by continuing with your Apple or Google account; either way, creating it means agreeing to these terms. Keep your password, or the Apple or Google account you sign in with, to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login. You must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to open an account or create a family. A child uses Kinferry only through a login they can create once their parent or legal guardian has invited them to join the family in the app; the parent accepts these terms on the child's behalf, is responsible for the child's use, and can remove the login at any time.

Your family's content is yours

The events, notes, photos and documents you put into Kinferry remain yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store that content, show it to the people in your family you have given access to, and pass the parts described in the privacy policy to the services that store the details in order for the events to remain visible on the app, read text, speak answers and work out drive times. We do not use your content for anything else, and we do not sell it.

Using it sensibly

What Kinferry does not promise

Drive times are estimates. They come from Google's prediction of typical traffic for the event's day and time, plus a small margin. An event that repeats at the same place and time on weekdays is looked at again each Monday; any other event is worked out when it is added, and again if its place changes or it moves by more than an hour and a half. Traffic, roadworks and weather happen. Use them to plan a day, not to cut a departure fine, and never as the only thing standing between a child and being left somewhere.

Events read from a message, a photo or a document are a proposal. The app shows you what it read and waits for you to confirm it, precisely because a machine reading a letter can be wrong. Check the date before you rely on it. The same goes for the assistant: its answers come from an AI and can be wrong, so check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Imported calendars are as good as their source. If a school posts the wrong time, Kinferry imports the wrong time.

You are protected by your statutory rights as a consumer.

Stopping

You can close your account at any time in Settings › Account, and doing so deletes it as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or to harm somebody, and will say why.

Changes

These terms may change as the app grows, as the law changes, or as features are added. Whenever they change, the app flags it in Settings until you have opened the new version, and a change we reasonably believe is to your material disadvantage is flagged before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account before it applies. The date above always reflects the current version.

Misuse of the App

You must use the App only for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms and any instructions provided within or alongside the App.

We are not responsible for loss to the extent it results from using Kinferry for something it was not designed for or against these terms, or from altering or interfering with it. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and disputes go to the courts of Dubai. If you are a consumer living in the EU, the UK or another country whose consumer-protection laws cannot be set aside by contract, you keep that protection and can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
